Once the box is visible have the person standing by the fire just walk into that cage and flip the switch. Then rotate the windmill blade to bring back the power box.
Turn the room so you can see the power box to turn off the lasers in this room.When you do flip the room back to its "regular setting" and have Luigi or Gooigi stand by the fireplace. Use Gooigi or Luigi to rotate the windmill on the left side of the room, and keep the other character by the fireplace. But be careful! Everything is actually protected by lasers so spin the blades until you see a power box in a little cage. Walk to the far left (near the front) and you'll see a painting with some windmill blades attached to it. Go inside and you'll be in the drawing-room: a cozy area with a fireplace and several sofas. You'll have to shine your Dark Light to actually reveal the door. Check your map for where that door is located. Get the green key in the drawing roomHead to the right side of the hall. Mostly watch out not to get hit with garbage thrown your way. Once all of the lasers have been disabled, head up stairs to get the first key.Be ready for a lot of tough ghosts waiting for you. Place it in the empty slot on the bookshelf that's right of the key (or where the key was). Vacuum up the book in that area (just keep vacuuming around until you grab it, it's hard to spot). Place it on the bookshelf where the empty space is on the right to get the gem.At the bottom of the library, head to the left behind the bookshelf into the small area. Take this book upstairs to where the key is located. This will kill all the lasers and let you return to the top and grab the key. Run up to that power box and pull on the rope. Once downstairs, stand in front of the lasers and shoot the power box ahead. Watch the pattern of the lasers and walk past each set until you're downstairs. Use burst to blow the powder on the floor into the air and reveal the lasers. Once inside the library, burst move to reveal the lasers.Now you're in the library. When you reach the end of the hall, walk forward and take the door on the right. Turn it again to match the next shape that appears. Vacuum the weird statue in front of it to turn that state so that its shadow matches the shape of King Boo. Rotate this statue to match the shapes of King Boo and Luigi with its shadows to reveal the gem.When taking the first hallway to the left you'll pass a cardboard style portrait of King Boo. Get the gold key in the libraryHead to the left of the hall. Collect all 4 Keys to open the doorsNow that you're in the hall, you'll need to collect 4 keys to reach the hotel owner. Then, have Gooigi walk off the edge to the left so his weight will pull the chain until the projector screen is completely lifted (a green light will go off to indicate this as well). Have him go through the next pipe and vacuum/hold the chain. Start by heading to the right of the screen and pulling the vent cover off. Have him vacuum it up and walk off the side of the platform to life the projector screen.To get out of this area you'll need to move the projector screen. Send Gooigi through the pipes on the right to get to the top where there is a ball and chain. Vacuum it out of its container and pick it up. Have each of them step onto the round tables in between the sofas. A gem will come out of the floor.Have Luigi and Gooigi stand on opposite sides of the sitting area (on the elevated portion before you walk down to the sofas). Place Luigi and Gooigi on the tables in front of the projector screen. This will cause him to drop down and get the gem. When he gets to the top, have him walk behind the large structure and into the black opening. Head into the alcove here his flashlight is pointing to get the gem.Head to the large white projector screen and walk to the left. Go to the left of the screen and use Gooigi to ge tinto the pipe. Find the Hotel OwnerTake the elevator to 15F. All gem locations will be written in a blue box so scroll through for them to see what you're missing or scroll past them if you'd rather discover the answer to those puzzles yourself.
